Three, period of schooling, and credit 

PhD student for 3 years, period of schooling is generally 3 to 4 years (Dr On-the-job graduate student can be extended to 6 years), total credit course requires not less than 15 credits, including degree course credits 10 or more points. 

Fourth, the curriculum

Note: PhD student in the master's stage if already take a second foreign language, in Dr Phase can not choose the second foreign language, otherwise, the second foreign language as required. 

Fifth, the practice 

Training, practical training is the important way to improve the adaptability of the graduate students. Six, scientific research and dissertation 

Postgraduate entrance, Dr Should be the scientific research direction under the guidance of tutor, access to a large number of related literature at home and abroad, extensive investigation and study, proposed dissertation topic report, after review to determine the research subject. 

The topic selection principle: 

A. Ph.D. Thesis topic should have certain theoretical significance and practical significance, should be closely related to the national economic construction and social development, should with social development and science and technology in the development of important theoretical and practical problems, high and new technology, the state funds and background of major engineering problems. 

B. topics should have certain difficulty, depth, breadth and workload, should be scientifically deal with the breadth and depth, PhD thesis to particular innovative and advanced. 

Subject reports: 

The main content of the selected topic report should include: expatiates the purpose and significance, the current domestic and foreign research dynamic and level, complete the thesis of the conditions, time limit, and expected to reach the purpose of, and so on. PhD topic report shall be in one year after the entrance to a year and a half time (Ph.D graduate two years), topic selection report does not conform to the requirements, must redo topic selection report in three months. 

Paper topics is determined, a doctoral candidate should be under the guidance of a mentor to formulate detailed work plan, by the department (,) after the director of audit, signed, send college for the record. 

Since the date of opening report checking, to apply for PhD thesis dissertation date between the work time, shall not be less than one year. 

Before the dissertation, a doctoral candidate must in this discipline or a related discipline at home and abroad academic journals or international academic conference with the first author or the second author (tutor for the first author), and in the name of the wuhan university of technology PhD thesis published belongs to the content of not less than 3 academic theses, including at least 2 published in this discipline four retrieval system (EI, SCI, ISTP, SSCI) collection of journals, and at least 1 article published in the form of a foreign language. 

PhD students in the form of foreign language academic papers published in the foreign language journals, hold a formal offer may apply for the dissertation, to be published by the foreign publications published to the academic degree evaluation and award degrees. 

Ph.D. Thesis requirements: 

(1) to adhere to the principle of theory with practice, should be system, the complete academic papers, or expertise in science should make innovative achievements. 

(2) the paper must have certain difficulty, depth and workload. Papers should be independently by oneself, need to be able to show that the author has engaged in scientific research or specialized technical work independently, from the literature review, selected topic report, determine reasonable research scheme, experimental process and data processing, etc., all should show that graduate students have the ability to analyze and solve problems. 

(3) the paper generally should include project basis, experiment method, the experimental results and data processing, theoretical analysis, conclusion and references. Paper requirements diagram text smooth, clear and precise measurement units correctly, print, binding. 

(4), in the middle of the paper to doctoral work should be done in a special academic conference of the interim report, by experts (define) before with reviewing its progress and stage achievement level. 

Dissertation must be finished in three months before the defense, defense prior to peer experts with a professor or a title appraisal work, extensive listening.
