Civil engineering post-doctoral mobile stations set up in 2003,
approved by the ministry of personnel. Civil engineering in our school is in
hubei province level key disciplines, has first-level discipline doctoral
degree authorization centers, including structural engineering secondary
discipline doctoral degree in 1986, is one of the earliest in hubei province
civil engineering disciplines doctoral degree. After decades of construction,
the discipline characteristic and development prospect of subject system is
established, in the "high performance composite concrete structure",
"engineering structure intelligent vibration disaster prevention",
"health monitoring of civil engineering structure" and "complex
environmental geotechnical engineering disaster prevention", "large
bridge and the structure of the engineering construction monitoring" and
"water pollution control theory and application" highlights the
characteristics of our school on the main research direction, has made a series
of impressive academic achievements, has won the acceptance of scholars at home
and abroad. Road bridge and structural engineering, hubei key laboratory has
the biggest earthquake simulation shaking table in central China, central
China, the only 125 tons of computer control hydraulic servo loading system,
maximum size specimen of rock burst simulation test system at home and abroad
and multi-functional simulation test system of geotechnical engineering,

The civil engineering discipline of WUT (Wuhan University of
Technology) is composed of 9 sub-disciplines, including geotechnical
engineering, structural engineering, municipal engineering, bridge and tunnel
engineering, disaster prevention and reduction engineering, heat and gas supply
ventilation and air-conditioning engineering, restoration engineering of
historic cities and buildings, intelligent structure and system
informatization, construction and management of civil engineering. Certificated as a discipline with doctoral
program in 1986, the structural engineering became the first doctor station for
civil engineering in Hubei
province. In 2003 the civil engineering discipline was authorized as the
post-doctoral research station. After decades’ development, the civil

Key Laboratory of Roadway Bridge & Structure Engineering has been
established with its unique characteristics and prospects, acquiring many
remarkable academic achievements in “complex concrete structure with
high-performance”, “wind and earthquake resistance of engineering structures”, “structural
vibration control”, “structural health monitoring”, “disaster prevention of
geotechnical engineering in complex environment”, “construction supervision of
long-span bridges and engineering structures”, “structural fatigue life
prediction”. Among them, the researches of “the intelligent structural
vibration control” and “the fatigue life prediction of steel structure” have
ranked high level and received wide recognition of domestic and overseas
